Boy's school shirt, classic shirt sizes 3 to 14 years PDF sewing pattern. FINLEY SHIRT.
$12.95
The Finley Shirt is a standard men’s style dress shirt for kids with a two piece collar and long sleeves with button cuffs. It has a double yoke and includes a short sleeve option. The collar can also be made as a single piece stand collar.
SIZES: 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 to fit children from 3 to 14 years old. Always check the size
chart for your correct size; chest and height measurements are the best guide. This shirt is loose fitting. Check the Finished Measurements chart for finished length and chest width.
FABRIC: Light weight woven fabrics are the most suitable, poplin, lawn, homespun and similar fabrics. Also suitable are very light weight denim or chambray, linen and flannel. For ease of handling and to minimize fraying choose fabrics with a close weave e.g. poplin. The two piece collar is difficult to sew in thicker, heavier fabric so choose the stand collar option for these fabric types.
EXPERIENCE: you will need to have intermediate to advanced sewing skills to make this shirt. The shirt requires plain sewing only with neat, accurate seaming. There is a double, bagged out yoke and buttonholes. Overlocking is best to finish the seams; alternately you can use the zigzag stitch on your plain machine.
Follow the sewing tutorial closely to be sure to sew everything in the correct sequence.
